The moon and the Danish environmental minister shed light upon anaerobic digestion and composting of biowaste

The moon and the Danish environmental minister shed light upon anaerobic digestion and composting of biowaste at the Solum AIKAN plant on a dark December afternoon.

The plant and the AIKAN concept prove that biological treatment can be both environmentally friendly and economically profitable. And the concept has a huge potential in Denmark and abroad.

This was the message from the founder of the Solum Gruppen and the Chairman of the Board in the subsidiary AIKAN Ltd., Anders Knutsen.AIKAN Ltd, when the Danish Environmental Minister Mrs. Connie Hedegaard visited the AIKAN-plant BioVaekst in Denmark.

AIKAN Ltd. s founded in order to focus on marketing and export of the AIKAN concept.

The EU-Landfill Directive means that many countries have to find new alternatives for treatment of biowaste before year 2009.
